Invocation

Hymn 58: O Splendor of God's Glory Bright Winchester New

Prayer of Confession

Almighty and most merciful God, we acknowledge and confess that we have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed; that we have not loved You with all our heart and soul, with all our mind and strength; and that we have not loved our neighbor as ourselves. We beseech You, O God, to forgive what we have been, to help us to amend what we are, and of Your mercy to direct what we shall be; so that we may hereafter walk in the way of Your commandments, and do those things which are pleasing in Your sight, through Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

The Gospel’s Assurance of Pardon: Colossians 1:13–14

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Doxology 733 Lasst Uns Erfreuen

Praise him above, ye heav’nly host; praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!
