Call to Worship
Invocation
Hymn 57: Hallelujah, Praise Jehovah, O My Soul Ripley
Prayer of Confession
O God, maker of all things and judge of us all, have mercy upon our sinful condition. With the Apostle Paul, we find that we desire to do what is right, yet we do wrong anyway. O Lord, deliver us from the evil one and his temptations, from the lust and desires of the flesh, from affections which are alienated from your purposes. We lament the far-reaching effects of our sin and cry to You for help. Grant, by Your Holy Spirit, that we would become daily more like our Savior Jesus, whose food was to do the will of His Father in heaven. Amen.
The Gospel’s Assurance of Pardon: Psalm 103:2–5
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
Doxology 733 Lasst Uns Erfreuen
Praise God from whom all blessings flow; praise him, all creatures here below; alleluia, alleluia!
Praise him above, ye heav’nly host; praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!
