Prelude: Andante Tranquillo from Sonata 3 Felix Mendelssohn

Call to Worship

Invocation

Hymn 76: Praise, My Soul, the King of Heaven Lauda Anima

Prayer of Confession

Father God, the source of every good and perfect gift, we humbly implore your help. You know our faults, our failings, our necessities, the dullness of our understanding, the waywardness of our affections, the perverseness of our will. When we neglect to practice what we know, visit us we pray with your grace; enlighten our minds, rectify our desires, correct our wanderings, and pardon our omissions, so that by your guidance we may be preserved from making shipwreck of our faith; help us to keep a good conscience and so may we at length be landed safe in the haven of eternal rest; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Gospel’s Assurance of Pardon: Ephesians 2:8–9

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Doxology 733 Lasst Uns Erfreuen

Praise God from whom all blessings flow; praise him, all creatures here below; alleluia, alleluia!
Praise him above, ye heav’nly host; praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!
