Hymn 198: Lift Up Your Heads, Ye Mighty Gates! Truro
Prayer of Confession
Our Father, we praise you for our great high priest, the Lord Jesus Christ, who offered himself as the sacrifice for our sins, and in whose name we may come boldly to your throne of grace. We confess we come to you far less often than we sin. We transgress your commandments every day in what we do, think, and say. Our very motives are tainted with sin; often we cannot even discern our own errors. We cast ourselves upon your mercy which flows from the cross of our Savior Jesus. We look to him to be free from condemnation, guilt, and shame. By your Holy Spirit, grant us faith to trust him more. Amen.
The Gospel’s Assurance of Pardon: Titus 2:11–14
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.
Doxology 732 Tallis' Canon

Praise him above, ye heav’nly host; praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

Confession of Faith: Westminster Larger Catechism Question 36
Question: Who is the Mediator of the covenant of grace?
Answer: The only Mediator of the covenant of grace is the Lord Jesus Christ, who, being the eternal Son of God, of one substance and equal with the Father, in the fullness of time became man, and so was and continues to be God and man, in two entire distinct natures, and one person, forever.
