Call to Worship
Doxology Old Hundredth
Praise God from whom all blessings flow; praise him, all creatures here below;
Praise him above, ye heav’nly host; praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.
Prayer of Confession
Holy Lord, we are not fit to come before you. We have no righteousness of our own to offer and we possess nothing to sacrifice that is worthy of the great debt that we owe you. We have not done what is just and right, but instead have frequently sinned in our words and our actions. We have not loved kindness and delighted our souls in doing others good. We have not walked humbly and wisely before you, but have walked in our own wisdom and followed the counsel of the world around us. Father, forgive us. Holy Spirit, take away our stony hearts and create in us true goodness and beauty. Give us grace to walk in your statutes out of the thankfulness for the rich salvation we have in Christ our Lord. Amen.
The Gospel’s Assurance of Pardon: 1 John 4:9–10
In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Invocation
Hymn 76: Praise, My Soul, the King of Heaven Lauda Anima
Responsive Reading: Psalm 23 (pew Bible p. 458)
Gloria Patri Meineke
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.
Apostles' Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
Prayer of Intercession (concluding with The Lord’s Prayer)
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Leaning on the Everlasting Arms (11am) arr. Robert Carwithen
Tenth Church Choir
What a fellowship, what a joy divine, leaning on the everlasting arms; what a blessedness, what a peace is mine, leaning on the everlasting arms! Leaning, leaning, safe and sure from all alarms. What a fellowship, what a blessedness, leaning on the everlasting arms. O how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way, leaning on the everlasting arms! O how bright the path grows from day to day, leaning on the everlasting arms! What have I to dread? What have I to fear, leaning on the everlasting arms? I have peace with my Lord, leaning on the everlasting arms! Amen, amen.
