Prelude Todd Thomas, baritone
At the River Aaron Copland
Shall we gather at the river, where bright angels have trod, with its crystal tide forever flowing by the throne of God? Yes, we’ll gather at the river, the beautiful, the beautiful river; gather with the saints at the river that flows by the throne of God. Soon we’ll reach the shining river, soon our pilgrimage will cease; soon our happy hearts will quiver with the melody of peace.
Jesus Shall Reign arr. Amy Tate Williams
Jesus shall reign wherever the sun does its successive journeys run. His kingdom spread from shore to shore till moon shall wax and wane no more. People and realms of every tongue dwell on his love with sweetest song. His name like sweet perfume shall rise with every morning sacrifice. To him shall endless prayer be made and endless praises crown his head. And infant voices shall proclaim their early blessings on his name. Let every creature rise and bring his grateful honors to our King. Angels descend with songs again and earth repeat the loud Amen.
