Prelude: My Shepherd Will Supply My Need arr. Robert Hebble

Living Church George McFarland

Call to Worship

Doxology Old Hundredth

Praise God from whom all blessings flow; praise him, all creatures here below;
Praise him above, ye heav’nly host; praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

Prayer of Confession

Loving Father, you are the keeper of our souls. You hem us in behind and before, and there is no place we can flee from your presence. But Lord, we are so prone to wander. We go astray in our thinking and in our deeds. We follow our feelings rather than your word. Pride takes priority over your precepts. Selfishness motivates instead of love. Legalism binds our conscience where grace should free us. O Lord, in your mercy cleanse us from our sin. Enlighten our minds in the knowledge of Christ, that we might serve and enjoy you to the fullest every day. Amen.

The Gospel’s Assurance of Pardon: Acts 10:43

To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.

Invocation

Hymn 2: O Worship the King Lyons

Responsive Reading: Psalm 123 (pew Bible p. 517)

Gloria Patri Meineke

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.

Apostles' Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God, the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the
communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

Prayer of Intercession (concluding with The Lord’s Prayer)

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
