Call to Worship
Invocation
Hymn 650: I Will Sing of My Redeemer My Redeemer
Prayer of Confession
O God, we have sinned against you in our words, thoughts, and actions. Forgive us for each careless word, for speaking too quickly, and for promoting our own agendas. Forgive us for how we use our minds: we secretly court the idols of our hearts, fuel the fire of envy and discord, and justify ourselves. Forgive our sinful actions: for wasting the days you give us, for walking in the path of worldliness, and paying homage to the gods of this age. Renew us by your Spirit, and keep us daily in your grace, for the sake of Christ our risen Savior, Amen.
The Gospel’s Assurance of Pardon: 1 John 4:10
In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Doxology 733 Lasst Uns Erfreuen
Praise God from whom all blessings flow; praise him, all creatures here below; alleluia, alleluia!
Praise him above, ye heav’nly host; praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

Offertory: Let Us Break Bread Together arr. Gilbert Martin
Question of Preparation: Westminster Shorter Catechism, question 20
Question: Did God leave all mankind to perish in the estate of sin and misery?
Answer: God having, out of his mere good pleasure, from all eternity, elected some to everlasting life, did enter into a covenant of grace, to deliver them out of the estate of sin and misery, and to bring them into an estate of salvation by a Redeemer.
Sacrament of the Lord's Supper
The Sursum Corda (Lift up your hearts)
The Lord be with you.
And with your spirit.
Lift up your hearts!
We lift them up to the Lord!
Let us give thanks unto our Lord God.
It is right to give Him thanks and praise.
It is right and good and a joyful thing, always and everywhere to give thanks unto You, O Lord, Holy Father, Almighty, Everlasting God. Therefore, with angels and archangels, and with all the company of heaven, we laud and magnify Your glorious Name; evermore praising You, and saying:
“Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of hosts. Heaven and earth are full of Your glory. Hosanna in the highest.”
