Invocation

Hymn 122: God, All Nature Sings Thy Glory Ode To Joy

Prayer of Confession

Almighty God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Maker of all things, Judge of all men; we acknowledge and bewail our manifold sins and wickedness which we have from time to time committed by thought, word, and deed against Your divine majesty, provoking most justly Your wrath and indignation against us. We do earnestly repent and are heartily sorry for our misdoings; they are grievous unto us. Have mercy upon us, most merciful Father for Your Son our Lord Jesus Christ’s sake; forgive us all that is past, and grant that hereafter we may serve and please You in newness of life, to the honor and glory of Your holy name, through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

The Gospel’s Assurance of Pardon: Romans 8:1

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow; praise him, all creatures here below;
Praise him above, ye heav’nly host: praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

Sacrament of the Lord's Supper

The Sursum Corda (Lift up your hearts)

The Lord be with you.
And with your spirit.
Lift up your hearts!
We lift them up to the Lord!
Let us give thanks unto our Lord God.
It is right to give Him thanks and praise.
It is right and good and a joyful thing, always and everywhere to give thanks unto You, O Lord, Holy Father, Almighty, Everlasting God. Therefore, with angels and archangels, and with all the company of heaven, we laud and magnify Your glorious Name; evermore praising You, and saying:

“Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of hosts. Heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest.”
