Prelude: Vivace from Sonata in G, BWV 530 Johann Sebastian Bach
Call to Worship Rev. Dr. Liam Goligher
Invocation Dr. Goligher
Hymn 300: Blessing and Honor and Glory and Power O Quanta Qualia
Prayer of Confession
Gracious heavenly Father, we thank You for Your tender mercies which are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness, O God! We confess our continual need of You; we sin every day in thought, word, and deed. We seek to build our own kingdoms rather than seeking Your kingdom. Our pride keeps us from being merciful as You are merciful; we want Your forgiveness, but are reluctant to forgive others. O Lord, grant us the mind of Christ, who counted others more significant than Himself. By Your Holy Spirit put to death all that is sinful in us, so we might serve and enjoy You forever. Amen.
The Gospel’s Assurance of Pardon: Colossians 1:13–14
He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Doxology (to the tune of Hark! the Herald Angels Sing) Mendelssohn
Holy Father, Fount of light, God of wisdom, goodness, might;
Holy Son, Who cam'st to dwell, God with us, Emmanuel;
Holy Spirit, heav'nly Dove, God of comfort, peace, and love;
Evermore be Thou adored, Holy, Holy, Holy Lord.
Holy Father, Holy Son, Holy Spirit, Three in One! Amen.

Confession of Faith: Heidelberg Catechism, question 1 Rev. John
Question: Christian, what is your only comfort, in life and in death?
Answer: That I belong—body and soul, in life and in death—not to myself but to my faithful Savior, Jesus Christ, who at the cost of His own blood has fully paid for all my sins and has completely freed me from the dominion of the devil; that He protects me so well that without the will of my Father in heaven not a hair can fall from my head; indeed, that everything must fit His purpose for my salvation. Therefore, by His Holy Spirit, He also assures me of eternal life, and makes me wholeheartedly willing and ready from now on to live for Him.
