Prelude: Improvisation Aaron Patterson

Call to Worship

Invocation

Hymn 21: Sing Praise to the Lord! Laudate Dominum

Prayer of Confession

Holy God, Your steadfast love is great to the heavens, Your faithfulness to the clouds. You sent Your Son to restore us to Your image, to reflect Your character and live according to Your Word. Lord, we confess that we strive against Your will for us. We are so accustomed to satisfying our desires and looking out for our own interests that we do not hearken to Your leading and willfully transgress Your commands. May your Spirit grant us the mind of Christ, whose food was to do Your will. Turn our hearts to You, that we might love You with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength. Amen.

The Gospel’s Assurance of Pardon: Psalm 32:5

I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin.

Doxology 733 Lasst Uns Erfreuen

Praise God from whom all blessings flow; praise him, all creatures here below; alleluia, alleluia!
Praise him above, ye heav’nly host; praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!
