Prelude: O God Beyond All Praising arr. Lloyd Larson Robin Massie Condy, soprano; Steven Condy, baritone

O God beyond all praising, we worship You today and sing the love amazing that songs cannot repay; for we can only wonder at every gift You send, at blessings without number and mercies without end; we lift our hearts before You and wait upon Your Word, we honor and adore You, our great and loving Lord. Then hear, O gracious Savior, accept the love we bring, that we who know Your favor may serve You as our King; and whether our tomorrows be filled with good or ill, we'll triumph through our sorrows and rise to bless You still; to marvel at Your beauty and glory in Your ways, and make a joyful duty our sacrifice of praise.

Call to Worship

Doxology Old Hundredth

Praise God from whom all blessings flow; praise him, all creatures here below;
Praise him above, ye heav’nly host; praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

Prayer of Confession

Almighty and most merciful God, we acknowledge and confess that we have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed; that we have not loved You with all our heart and soul, with all our mind and strength; and that we have not loved our neighbor as ourselves. We beseech You, O God, to forgive what we have been, to help us to amend what we are, and of Your mercy to direct what we shall be; so that we may hereafter walk in the way of Your commandments, and do those things which are pleasing in Your sight; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Gospel’s Assurance of Pardon: Ephesians 2:4–5

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.

Invocation

Hymn 115: All Creatures of Our God and King Lasst Uns Erfreuen

Responsive Reading: Psalm 82 (pew Bible p. 492)

Gloria Patri Meineke

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.

Apostles' Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

Prayer of Intercession (concluding with The Lord’s Prayer)

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Offertory: There Is a Higher Throne Keith and Kristyn Getty/arr. Lloyd Larson

Robin Massie Condy, soprano; Steven Condy, baritone

There is a higher throne than all the world has known, where faithful ones from every tongue will one day come. Before the Son we'll stand, made faultless through the Lamb, believing hearts find promised grace; salvation comes. Hear heaven's voices sing! There thunderous anthem rings through emerald courts and sapphire skies; their praises rise. All glory, wisdom, power, strength, thanks and honor are to God, our King, who reigns on high forevermore. And there we'll find our home; our life before the throne. We'll honor Him in perfect song where we belong. He'll wipe each tear-stained eye as thirst and hunger die. The Lamb becomes our Shepherd King; we'll reign with Him.
