What star is this, with beams so bright,
More lovely than the noonday light?
‘Tis sent to announce a newborn King,
Glad tidings of our God to bring.
‘Tis now fulfilled what God decreed,
“From Jacob shall a star proceed;”
And lo! The Eastern sages stand
To read in heaven the Lord’s command.
To God the Father, God the Son,
And Holy Spirit, Three in One,
May every tongue and nation raise
An endless song of thankful praise.
Praise God from Whom all blessings flow; praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heav’nly host; praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.
Almighty God, our heavenly Father, we have sinned against You and against other people, in thought and word and deed, through negligence, through weakness, through our own deliberate fault. We are truly sorry and repent of all our sins. For the sake of Your Son Jesus Christ, Who died for us, forgive us all that is past; and grant that we may serve You in newness of life to the glory of Your name. Amen.

Three kings from Persian lands afar Westminster Brass
To Jordan follow the pointing star:
And this the quest of the travelers three,
Where the newborn King of the Jews may be.
Full royal gifts they bear for the King;
Gold, incense, myrrh are their offering.
How brightly shines the morning star!
With grace and truth from heaven afar
Our Jesse tree now bloweth.
