Call to Worship

Doxology Old Hundredth

Praise God from whom all blessings flow; praise him, all creatures here below;
Praise him above, ye heav’nly host; praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

Prayer of Confession

Righteous Father, we come before You with an immediate sense of our unworthiness, of our misery and sin. You are pure and holy and just; we are wayward, willful, and disobedient. We are motivated far too often by love of self, rather than of love for You and our neighbor. Teach us to seek Your righteousness rather than self-righteousness. By Your Spirit put to death in us those things which cause us to sin, for the sake of Your glory, and the good of others around us. Amen.

The Gospel’s Assurance of Pardon: Romans 8:1–2

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

Invocation

Hymn 101: Come, Thou Almighty King Trinity

Responsive Reading: Psalm 70 (pew Bible p.484)

Gloria Patri Meineke

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.

Apostles' Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

Prayer of Intercession (concluding with The Lord’s Prayer)

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

To the Lamb on the Throne (11am) Dan Forrest
Tenth Church Choir

Worthy the Lamb. Ye servants of God, your Master proclaim, and publish abroad his wonderful name; the name, all victorious, of Jesus extol; his kingdom is glorious and rules over all. God ruleth on high, almighty to save; and still he is nigh—his presence we have. The great congregation his triumph shall sing, ascribing salvation to Jesus, our King. Salvation to God, who sits on the throne! Let all cry aloud and honor the Son. The praises of Jesus the angels proclaim, fall down on their faces and worship the Lamb. Then let us adore, and give him his right, all glory and pow'r, and wisdom and might, all honor and blessing, with angels above, and thanks never ceasing for infinite love.
